Clarendale Clayton's Director of Life Enrichment Recognized as a Wellness Leader

A Culture of Whole-Person Wellness, Supported by ICAA-Certified Professionals

At Clarendale Clayton, wellness is more than a program—it’s a commitment to helping residents live healthier, more purposeful and fulfilling lives. That commitment is reflected in the community’s Life Enrichment programming and strengthened by a team of professionals who bring a shared dedication to whole-person wellness to their work every day.

Several members of the Clarendale Clayton leadership team have completed the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) Foundation for Wellness Certificate Course, an industry-leading professional development program designed to help active-aging professionals advance wellness and healthy aging. Team members who have completed the program represent a variety of areas across the community, including Culinary, Health Services, Health & Wellness Navigation and Executive Leadership.

The ICAA Foundation for Wellness Certificate Course provides participants with knowledge and practical strategies to support whole-person wellness, including physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being. The curriculum explores the science of wellness, behavior change, program development and best practices for fostering a culture of wellness.

At Clarendale Clayton, this expertise helps inform a holistic approach to resident well-being. From thoughtfully designed dining experiences and engaging activities to health and wellness guidance and personalized support, wellness is woven into the many ways residents experience community life.
Having ICAA-certified professionals across multiple areas of the community reinforces Clarendale Clayton’s commitment to making wellness part of everyday life. By bringing together expertise from across disciplines, the team can create meaningful opportunities that support residents’ individual goals, interests and aspirations.

This commitment reflects the broader LCS philosophy that wellness should be integrated into every aspect of community life—empowering residents to pursue their passions, maintain independence and continue thriving at every stage of aging.
